Tainá e a Chuva

The indigenous girl Tainá, the king vulture Pepe, the monkey Catu and the hedgehog Suri are the Guardians of the Amazon. But today it is raining and the animals are all collected. Including them, who are sheltered under a large leaf. Suri, however, is not very happy. She is terrified of rain and says that once she almost got hurt in a storm. One by one, the Guardians tell their stories about the rain. For Catu, rain is very powerful because it can transform simple monkeys into superheroes! For Tainá, the origin of rain goes back to an ancient indigenous legend. Pepe, on the other hand, uses scientific arguments to convince Suri that there is no reason to be afraid of the rain.

Directed by Luí­sa Copetti, Tainá e a Chuva leans on a strong ensemble — Alice Crisci, Laura Chasseraux de Magalhães, Yuri Chesman — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 2022.
