About Woof Woof Daddy
As the main vocal of a band, Jiang Siwang (starring Aaron Kwok) is always the “coolest dad ever” to the eyes of his young daughter Jiang Lu. On the day right after Lu’s ninth birthday, Siwang accidently falls into the water when trying to save a puppy, and disappears from Lu’s life since then. But the magic happens because of love. Siwang mysteriously gains an “extra life” to be with his daughter: he transforms into a dog and returns to Lu, who has become an adult with a very different personality, now going through tons of crises in both her career and marriage. Even as a dog, Siwang will try the best in his way to protect his dearest darling.
Directed by Lu Ke, Woof Woof Daddy leans on a strong ensemble — Aaron Kwok Fu-Shing, Lyric Lan, Darren Wang — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 2024.
