About Kyoe Tann
The story is based on the families of two poor fishermen who live on the sandbank. These two families fight one another because of their poverty. The movie clearly gives the message that nothing is permanent in our human lives, and hatred, anger, greediness, and selfishness can create enormous bad things to our lives. Based on the famous novel of the same name by Khin Khin Htoo. It was the last film of superstar Kyaw Hein.
Directed by Mee Pwar, Kyoe Tann leans on a strong ensemble — Kyaw Hein, Kyaw Ye Aung, Soe Myat Thu Zar — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2009.
