Four Seasons in Java

Pertiwi returns to her hometown after spending two decades in prison to rebuild her life. There, she finds power in things that have been abandoned: discarded electronic devices that mysteriously light up and a community of outcasts living on the fringes of society. But coming home also means confronting the four men who sent her to prison and now rule the village. Together with the outcasts, Pertiwi begins to uncover the darkness that still haunts the place - and the past she thought she had left behind.

Directed by Kamila Andini, Four Seasons in Java leans on a strong ensemble — Putri Marino, Christine Hakim, Arya Saloka — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2026.
