
Larry O'Neil, a ship's cook, finds and befriends stowaway Lois Austin, who is a fugitive from a murder charge. The ship's captain, Klodel, also finds her and forces her to do his will as he has received a cablegram and knows she is hunted.
Directed by Joseph Henabery, Shipwrecked leans on a strong ensemble — Seena Owen, Joseph Schildkraut, Matthew Betz — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about adventure titles of 1926.
