The Ferryman

After a crippling divorce and with his taxi business starting to go under, it was the end of the road for James Archon. In light of this, James receives a mysterious call, which spirals his life into some questionable side-ventures akin to is cab service. When James meets a new interest in his life, he wants to give up this part of his life for good, however he must find a way out alive.

Directed by Luke Agius, The Ferryman leans on a strong ensemble — Sam White, Marybeth Bonnor, Franc Violi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2023.
