About Edge of the Wall
On Songkran, Bangkok native Kan travels to the far north of Thailand to further his study. There, he meets the beautiful Saimai and they quickly form a bond. Sadly, Saimai is to be married off to a local. Kan does everything in his power to stop the marriage, and to stop a falling out between him and his close friend Tawan.
Directed by Phairat Kasiwat, Edge of the Wall leans on a strong ensemble — Sorapong Chatree, Nantida Kaewbuasai, Porjed Kaenpetch — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1980.
