About The Barefoot Millionaire
A beautiful pickpocket works with a gang to steal jewelry. During one of the gang's operations, the police discover their presence and chase them. She hides in the house of a wealthy, dignified man. She begs him to let her stay with him. He responds and claims that she is his wealthy niece who has come from abroad. She confuses the family, but everyone loves her. She is affected by the beautiful family atmosphere, so she decides to repent and hand over the jewelry to the police, but the gang chases her.
Directed by Nagy Angelo, The Barefoot Millionaire leans on a strong ensemble — Salah Zulfikar, Hala Fouad, Huda Ramzi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1987.
