About Moonlight of Seoul
After her husband abandons her, Madam Min enter into real estate in the hopes of getting rich quickly. She buys out many farms and re-sells them to businesses seeking to build factories and warehouses. Chang-min, in an effort to save his ancestral land from being developed, goes to Seoul to plead with Min not to destroy the land.
Directed by Kim Mun-ok, Moonlight of Seoul leans on a strong ensemble — Jeong So-nyeo, Yoon Cheol-hyeong, Lee Young-wuk — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1991.
