Happy

Happy, an Indian refugee, is facing deportation. His dream of a successful life in Austria hasn't come true. What keeps him in the country, however, is his Austrian daughter Maya, from whom he would otherwise be permanently separated. In order to qualify for residency and custody rights, he gives up his job as a newspaper vendor and begins working as a food delivery driver. But one moment of carelessness, and the house of cards collapses.

Directed by Sandeep Kumar, Happy leans on a strong ensemble — Sahidur Rahaman, Lilian Klebow, Robert Ritter — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2025.
