Liar Guy

A young man named Gantogs leaves the countryside and comes to the city, driven by his dreams. He will initiate a completely new insurance service that has never appeared in Mongolia. But it was not so easy to make it work. The gang needed money. But he uses the last resort and tells his parents that he is getting a wife and sends money for a two-room apartment immediately.

Directed by Battulga Suvid, Liar Guy leans on a strong ensemble — Barkhuu Turbat, Tsend-Ayush Nyamsuren, Lkhagvasuren Samdan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2012.
