About The bridge of the wicked
A plastic artist suffers from extreme poverty. His friend convinces him to fake suicide so that he can become famous as a genius artist and sell his paintings. It turns out that this friend is trying to seize his paintings and his lover. The artist discovers his friend's betrayal and plots to expose him to everyone.
Directed by Nagdy Hafez, The bridge of the wicked leans on a strong ensemble — Farid Shawqy, Nahed Sherif, Mahmoud Jabre — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1971.
