The wife of a company president is 29 years old and in the prime of her life. Her husband is a powerful man in the financial world, so they are much older than her. As a result, she is always sexually unsatisfied and has affairs with one man after another, first a middle-aged man, then her golf coach, a host, and a sumo wrestler. This film is a film adaptation of Koichiro Uno 's bestselling novel, "A Busy Wife."
Directed by Kan Mukai, Mrs. Muremure leans on a strong ensemble — Yûko Asuka, Salome Tsunoda, Mami Sakura — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1978.
