The magic boxes of the sound merchant captain are stolen from Hiziapisi by a bearded gentleman. With the help of Heziapiszi's Bag of Bones, they embark on a major investigation and find the box containing seven bird sounds in a row. Finally, Hiziapiszi and his companions donate all the bird sounds to a sick little boy to bring the sounds of the forest into his room.
Directed by László Babiczky, A hét varázsdoboz leans on a strong ensemble — Csaba Ivánka, János Bata, János Horkay — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 1985.
