I hav'nt told my garden yet

In this poetry-film, of a poem by Emily Dickinson, the poet ponders on her mortality. She has not told her garden of her immanent demise; she will not lightly share the news with anybody, anywhere, as if death is a unique occurence. The film was made using a pinscreen animation device. The soundtrack consists of harp improvisation inspired by the poem.

Directed by Diek Grobler, I hav'nt told my garden yet leans on a strong ensemble — Annie Einan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 2024.
