
In 1976, Adriana van Aardt and her husband Johan, are having marital problems. Adriana drives to their holiday farm near the dusty rural town of Duiwelslaagte. En route she has to stop and pick up her husband's cousin Frans, whom she has never met; Johan will join them later. Sparks fly between Adriana and Frans. A journalist arrives and warns Adriana that Frans is not who he appears to be.
Directed by Hendrik Badenhorst, Bheki Howe, Wolf Wolf leans on a strong ensemble — Anel Alexander, Dewald Reyneke, Justin Strydom — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 2013.
