Yusuke returns home after serving time in prison. His older sister Natsumi, through an acquaintance, gets Yusuke a job as a delivery boy at a gardening store. Although Yusuke is initially unenthusiastic, through encounters with women he meets at the places where he delivers trees and flowers, he gradually gains more knowledge about gardening and opens up.
Directed by Tetsuya Takehora, Flowers Grow Here leans on a strong ensemble — Mizuki Sakino, Tsubaki Kato, Momo Fukuda — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2023.
