About The Transport
The story, which was motivated by the Spanish flu epidemy in 1918, goes about total helplessness. In a non-identifiable country at the beginning of the century an organisation kidnaps a doctor from his apartment and alongside with several others transports him into a camp.
Directed by András Szurdi, The Transport leans on a strong ensemble — Pál Hetényi, Gábor Reviczky, Sándor Gáspár — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 1981.
