About Beli Hoo
The Fragrance of Kindness is a film about a young mother, Asha whose dreams of a happy married life are shattered as her husband is alcoholic and unemployed. With two young children to raise she is forced to fend for herself in rural Karnataka. She learns to drive an ambulance and conducts funerals of unclaimed, abandoned and decomposed bodies. The social stigma, the inhuman treatment from family and society and the painful reality of burying her sister from suicide bring into focus Asha's grit and compassion.
Directed by Sebastin David, Beli Hoo leans on a strong ensemble — Sampath Maitreya, Swetha Srinivas, Lion S Venkatesh — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2025.
