About Timur and His Team
Our days. Seventeen-year-old schoolgirl Zhenya comes from the "northern capital" to a border village in the Belgorod region to see her brother, a volunteer, before he leaves for the invasion of Ukraine. There she meets a local informal leader, call sign "Timur", and his team, also teenage “volunteers“, who not only help Zhenya see her brother, a tanker, while helping the Russian "security forces" eliminate Ukrainian civilians, but also completely change her outlook on life. And as it happens, the personal relationship between Zhenya and "Timur" goes beyond "just friendship".
Directed by Ivan Merezhko, Timur and His Team leans on a strong ensemble — Aleksey Onezhen, MAYVL, Nikita Kologrivyy — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about adventure titles of 2025.
