Diabolique 3

Relying on the iconography specific to the 1990s, with the wonder drug Viagra and erotic phone lines of the "8989" type in their place, "Diabolique 3" is a fantasy farce about a dysfunctional couple's relationship. The wife is the one who takes the initiative, although her best and cosmopolitan friend advises her to leave her dull, conformist and, above all, sexually apathetic husband.

Directed by Keraj Sokol, Diabolique 3 leans on a strong ensemble — Iulia Lazăr, Mimi Brănescu, Mirela Oprișor — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1999.
