Trece gatos

Every time Laura (in her mid-40s) avoids a new conflict, she adopts a cat, and now she has ten. One day she leaves home on her way to the animal shelter to adopt a new one, but a last-minute burst of lucidity leads her to the office of a psychologist, Ana (in her mid-60s), so that she can help her avoid it. Ana will force her to go back to the moment when the first cat came into her life. Will she manage to avoid it this time? This story will end with a person who has managed to face her problems, or with a new kitten that has managed to be adopted, so one way or another, this is a story with a happy ending.

Directed by David Gaspar, Trece gatos leans on a strong ensemble — Pepa Juan, Adriana Llobet, Lorena López — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2025.
