Chauvinistic Farce

A theatre play, mostly set as a dialogue between a stereotypical Serb, Slobodan Mihajlovic (played by Tatić) and a stereotypical Croat, Bernard Drach (played by Ejdus), both of whom drink heavily. The script derives its capacity to make the audience laugh from their everlasting differences.

Directed by Egon Savin, Chauvinistic Farce leans on a strong ensemble — Josif Tatić, Predrag Ejdus, Mile Stanković — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1986.
