About Momotaros' Summer Vacation
An Imagin short shown between Juken Sentai Gekiranger: Nei-Nei! Hou-Hou! Hong Kong Decisive Battle and Kamen Rider Den-O: I'm Born!. Momotaros gloats of his strength until Master Sha-Fu dares him to prove it by swimming. After being made fun of by Urataros and Ryutaros, and bashed by Kintaros, Momotaros is talked into believing he can swim by Deneb.
Directed by Takayuki Shibasaki, Momotaros' Summer Vacation leans on a strong ensemble — Toshihiko Seki, Koji Yusa, Masaki Terasoma — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 2007.
