Rocked by the Wind

In the Taiwanese countryside, a high school senior, Shuan, is passionate about playing guitar. One summer day, his parents argue heatedly about money. Pretending to attend the study group, Shuan escaped his household chores and went to the city to hang out with his bandmates. Later that day, a typhoon hit, bringing strong winds and heavy rain. Meanwhile, Shuan’s mother had not yet returned home, and his young sister was nowhere to be found.

Directed by Huang Hsiao-shan, Rocked by the Wind leans on a strong ensemble — Tsai Jia-yin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 2025.
