Autolisis

written, produced, and directed by Rhoda Torres, tells the story of a UCV scientist, married and father of three children, and his wife, who commits suicide by jumping out of their bedroom window in front of their 14-year-old son. The young man tries to catch him in the air but he escapes due to lack of strength. As a result of the tragedy, the boy is left with a terrible trauma and feelings of guilt for what his father did.

Directed by Rhoda Torres, Autolisis leans on a strong ensemble — Milena Santander, Milena Torres, Ivette Domínguez — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2016.
