The Performer

The main character is an executioner from the 1930s who carries out the sentences of the Triumvirate. The gravity of his case follows him everywhere - in his family, among his acquaintances, and does not give him rest, until he himself becomes a victim of the system he serves.

Directed by Roland (Mikho) Borashvili, The Performer leans on a strong ensemble — Gia Dzneladze, Nino Koberidze, Shota Kristesashvili — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1994.
