The Journeyman

In the Wild West at the turn of the century, two young brothers watch as their Grandpa is gunned down in cold blood. The desperados kidnap the older boy while a priest takes in the younger one. Thirteen years later these two brothers will cross paths again as they both seek revenge, each in their own way.

Directed by James Crowley, The Journeyman leans on a strong ensemble — Willie Nelson, Octavia Spencer, Barry Corbin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about western titles of 2001.
