About Le grand zèle
Rémi Tremblay, a young hardworking low-level manager is demoted because of an alleged lack of zeal. Cut to the quick, he decides to move into his office in order to devote himself to his company 24/7. His ambitious boss, Georges Quintal, not impressed by this sudden change of heart and worried that it may threaten his good standing with the president, vows to get him fired.
Directed by Roger Cantin, Le grand zèle leans on a strong ensemble — Marc Labrèche, Raymond Cloutier, Julie Saint-Pierre — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1993.
