About Women in Green
¨A Shining Recording Chronicle¨ began as a two-person performance based on the work of artist Lee Hye-jin, who participated in the guerrilla exhibition ¨Kumusta Ka? Hello, You¨ held at the Dongducheon Nakgeomja Detention Center in 2018. In 2020, the performance was developed into a film and dance work based on the 2018 performance. The work tells the story of women who passed through the Nakgeom Detention Center with the Dongducheon Nakgeom Detention Center as the background.
Directed by Park Sye-young, Women in Green leans on a strong ensemble — Park Ji-hyun, Son Jeong-min, Seo Tae-ri — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2020.
