This film is a video-recorded performance of a landmark play from French surrealism, which was staged as a musical for the first time ever. Libretto and music are by the well-known Greek composer Stamatis Kraounakis. He himself portrays the main role of Victor: a child prodigy from a bourgeois family, who, on his ninth birthday, decides to ruin everything, revealing his father's adultery and unraveling all the hypocrisy and family disintegration, as well as dismissing his class.

Directed by Marianna Calbari, Karolos Zonaras, Viktor, i ta paidia stin exousia leans on a strong ensemble — Fotini Baxevani, Haris Fleouras, Gerasimos Gennatas — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2019.
