Songs Above Clouds

In an attempt to get away from his work problems at the circus, Makhmut travels to the North Caucasus to visit his relatives. Little does he know that his sister has her own set of problems, albeit in the matters of the heart.

Directed by Rafael Gasparyants, Yuriy Gorkovenko, Songs Above Clouds leans on a strong ensemble — Spartak Mishulin, Iya Ninidze, Ramaz Giorgobiani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1976.
