A Dios

A former jazz diva, forgotten by time, is spending the last years of her life in a seniors' residence with an orderly as her only friend. Unfortunately, she fails to keep her diva ways in check and risks losing the only person she cares about with time running out to make amends... A short film in English and Kreyol, set in Montreal (Tio'tia:ke), Canada.​ A Dios was developed and produced thanks to the Canada Council for the Arts.

Directed by Christine Rodriguez, A Dios leans on a strong ensemble — Ranee Lee, Lyndz Dantiste, Clare Coulter — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2025.
