In the movie, the characters face new questions and challenges in an original story that celebrates each of their individual passions and preferences. A chance encounter with openly gay college student Igarashi Daichi begins to shift 52-year-old Okita Makoto’s outdated “Showa-era mindset” toward a more modern Reiwa-era perspective. His wife Mika, a devoted fan of the boy group “RANDOM,” has recently gone from working part-time at “QUQU Bento” to becoming a full-time employee at the company’s headquarters. Though each member pursues their own passions, family life appears harmonious.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2025.
