
Akiko, a widow, was living in the house her husband left her, with lodgers, but she was constantly being asked to vacate by Sonoyama, a land developer. One day, a woman with a masculine appearance named Sadako arrives as a new lodger. Sonoyama teams up with Etsuko, a female land developer, and begins to use seduction to negotiate with the lodgers to move out. The lodgers quickly declare that they will move out. Akiko finds herself in a predicament, but then Sadako's unexpected true identity is revealed...
Directed by Akira Fukamachi, Shin mibôjin geshuku: Ura mo omote mo aitemasu leans on a strong ensemble — Hitomi Kurosawa, Chiemi Akimoto, Kyoko Hashimoto — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
