A wordless parable. A man finds an angel with a broken wing in the desert, rescues him, and puts him in a cage. The man begins to show off the angel, earning money from it. The angel breaks free and disappears. The man begins to do his usual work, occasionally feeling the angel's presence above him.
Directed by Taras Tomenko, Parched Land leans on a strong ensemble — Serhiy Dzhigurda — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
