About Eye Doctor
The events take place at the Scientific Research Institute of Ophthalmology in Baku. Shahbazov is the director of the institute. Despite the fact that he and Narmina, who work with him and have similar personalities, are educated and experienced doctors, the institute is undermining those who are ahead of them.
Directed by Lutfi Memmedbeyli, Eye Doctor leans on a strong ensemble — Burjali Asgarov, Rafael Dadashov, Vafa Fatullayeva — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1985.
