The events in the television play unfold in and around one of the departments operating under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. Thus, the events unfold with the appointment of a new inspector to the department. The fact that the new employee is a compatriot of the head is considered a source of hope for the difficult fate of the department, but the fact that the inspector performs his work honestly and does not prioritize the issue of "compatriot" over loyal service to the state upsets the plans of the department's management.
Directed by Lutfi Memmedbeyli, Əmirhüseyn Məcidov, Həmyerlilər leans on a strong ensemble — Burjali Asgarov, Sayavush Aslan, Tariyel Qasimov — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1998.
