O Socorro Não Virá

Arthur is a narcissistic young director obsessed with his ambitious science fiction film, in which Platane, an evolved human, faces a conspiracy in a future where everything seems perfect. Miriam, an energetic producer and his best friend, tries to make the project happen, but Arthur sabotages everything and abandons the production. Years later, Miriam becomes a successful director, while Arthur never made his film. Too late, he realizes that what he really lost was her friendship.

Directed by Cibele Amaral, O Socorro Não Virá leans on a strong ensemble — Tanya Anticevic, André Deca, Eduarda Esteves — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about science fiction titles of 2025.
