In a dystopian future, Electra works at a marketing company and designs clothes in her spare time. When she is promoted to head of her department, Goa, a colleague who is jealous because she believes she should have been promoted instead, decides to sabotage her, getting her fired by the boss.

Directed by Margherita Morello, Aquarium leans on a strong ensemble — Paula Quintas, Arturo Cobas, Clara Ferrao — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about science fiction titles of 2024.
