The film tells the story of Eliza, a spoiled girl who, after her mother’s death, is left in the care of her aunt. Her stubbornness becomes an obstacle to her way of life. Spending all her days at home, Eliza withdraws into herself. However, her aunt’s plan to intervene in her life eventually succeeds.

Directed by Məzahir Həşimov, Elisa leans on a strong ensemble — Deniz Tajeddin, Togrul Rza, Hijran Nasirova — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2018.
