About The Sea Robber
Lost Persian Film. Jassim and his accomplices are pursued by the police during a robbery. The police arrest Jassim's accomplices and Jassim takes refuge in a house where a girl lives alone. He gradually becomes interested in the girl. In the end, the police surround the house. Jassim is injured in a police shootout and kills the girl as he dies.
Directed by Ahmad Shirazi, The Sea Robber leans on a strong ensemble — Mohsen Mahdavi, Mahin Deyhim, Javad TorkPoor — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1955.
