Faustina is a 1995 Polish film directed by Jerzy Łukaszewicz about Blessed Sister Faustina Kowalska, a saint of the Roman Catholic Church who was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2000. It is the first feature film of its kind in Poland, and far from the path of modern cinema.
Directed by Jerzy Łukaszewicz, Faustina leans on a strong ensemble — Dorota Segda, Mirosława Dubrawska, Krzysztof Wakuliński — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1995.
