Newlywed Jed and Angie this time, they have to take care of their son Raffa with parents who are all too eager to share the job with them. Compounding the problems are Jed having to deal with a hypochondriac mother, Angie having to deal with her mom dating a "balikbayan" guy, and the usual jealousy problems hounding married couples.
Directed by Jose Javier Reyes, Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo leans on a strong ensemble — Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Derek Ramsay — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 2007.
