About Rag of life
After the end of World War II, a Greek woman who was imprisoned in a German concentration camp returns to Greece. She is a woman broken by the hardships, but at the same time determined to find the man who caused her all this misery, namely the one who reported her to the Gestapo as a Jew.
Directed by Giorgos Papakostas, Rag of life leans on a strong ensemble — Martha Vourtsi, Manos Katrakis, Lavrentis Dianellos — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1969.
