About Spoiled
A middle-aged couple travels from a small town to Tehran with their young son to visit their friends and their daughter. However, both families, to hide their true age, make their young son and daughter appear as young children. Despite this, the son and daughter gradually fall in love, and after a while, their love is revealed, thus exposing the pretense of the adults.
Directed by Amin Amini, Spoiled leans on a strong ensemble — Vida Ghahremani, Ali Tabesh, Hamid Ghanbari — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1960.
