Too Hot to Handle

Miss Laing turns heads sashaying down old Forty-Deuce, then gives head to a bad black dude in a seedy hotel, all the while raving about another cock she hopes to meet up close and personal. Meanwhile, Mr. Astyr complains about Laing to her lesbian chum ANNIE SPRINKLE, who reasons: "If you fuck her every day, then your cock is in her cunt, so I'd like to put your cock in my mouth." Replies Astyr, "Boy, is that reasoning!" Astyr finally walks in on one of Laing's nymphomaniacal adventures and comments: "You're such a rat fuckin' cunt! fuckin' had it! I had it!" And he flies into the arms of a black chick who fucks him to sleep, wherein he dreams of being tied up and whipped by C.J., then stabbing her to death. In the last scene, Astyr's in his kitchen, giddily fondling a big knife.

Directed by Ralph Ell, Too Hot to Handle leans on a strong ensemble — C.J. Laing, Annie Sprinkle, Bobby Astyr — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1975.
