Satan is Knocking

A dispute breaks out between two truck drivers. One of them, who is extremely upset, runs over a child on the road. The middle-aged driver, who believes he is the real culprit, initially tries to escape but then surrenders to the law. Eventually, the truth is revealed, and his rival, who engages in illegal activities, is apprehended.

Directed by Esmaeil Riyahi, Satan is Knocking leans on a strong ensemble — Arman Minassian, Shahla Riahi, Abdollah Boutimar — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1964.
