About A Girl Fighter
Ton Chard is a vicious murderer, who terrifies people with his crimes. He is protected by his father, the powerful Shi Fong, ruler of the district. Su Ma offers herself to seek and arrest the criminal. Once done that, she has to take him to the law court where he will be judged. But Shi Fong will do everything to stop her.
Directed by Yang Shih-Ching, A Girl Fighter leans on a strong ensemble — Polly Shang-Kuan Ling-Feng, Tien Peng, Chiu Ting — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1972.
