About Three Champions
Three young guys whose cabaret act has really taken off are facing two problems: first, there's an old, bankrupt businessman who's found out his daughter, studying in Europe, thinks he's still rich and is planning to come to Tehran with her fiancé. The old man is super upset about her finding out the truth. The second problem is a blind, lost girl they're trying to earn enough money to get treatment for.
Directed by Amin Amini, Three Champions leans on a strong ensemble — Mansour Sepehrnia, Garshasb Raoufi, Mohammad Motevaselani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1966.
